The Roeper Theater Company (RTC) has built a distinguished reputation with a rich history of producing adventurous shows, maintaining outstanding quality, and fostering an exciting creative environment for students. The company performs three Main Stage productions annually, covering a wide range of genres from classical to contemporary pieces.
The RTC also offers a Second Stage Season, allowing Middle and Upper School students to select and develop new or lesser-known works, which includes student-directed productions. Recent notable productions include A Man of No Importance, Cabaret, The Laramie Project, and Comedy of Errors. Students have the opportunity to participate in all aspects of production, including set design and sound/lighting, and collaborate with some of the area's most respected theater artists.
In the Lower School, students frequently engage in classroom skits, present to their families, and participate in talent shows. As students progress to Stage IV, they select elective courses in instrumental music, vocal music, dance, and theater arts. They showcase their talents to the community through evening concerts at least twice a year, and they produce one staged musical production annually, designed to suit developing voices.
