Stage IV Teacher
What are one or two highlights of your life?
Teaching oversees in the U.A.E. where I was able to learn a little bit of Arabic and met wonderful people from all over the world.
Where are you from, and what would you like to share about yourself and your family?
I am from Southfield, MI. I am very close with my family—especially my nephews—and spend time with them weekly, whether we're going on family trips or enjoying local excursions together.
What do you like to do in your free time?
I’m an emerging gardener who loves being outdoors and close to nature during the warmer months. I stay active with workouts like Zumba, cycling, Pilates, golf, and walking, especially in the spring and summer. I also love monthly brunches with college and teaching friends, as well as volunteering at my church.
What is a topic or skill that you love to teach or share and why?
I love teaching reading strategies, comprehension, and writing across all levels, from elementary to college. Reading can be complex, but showing students how to read effectively empowers them to take that skill and truly thrive.
I’m also passionate about teaching business and entrepreneurship. I love inspiring others to tap into their creativity and ingenuity to solve problems, meet needs, and potentially turn their ideas into financially self-sufficient endeavors that empower others.
Why Roeper?
Having been connected with Roeper in various ways over the years, I’ve always known that its mission to nurture and bring out the best in our gifted community perfectly aligns with my personal teaching philosophy.
What's something most people don't know about you?
I’m also a licensed real estate agent! Just as I love helping students discover their full potential, I enjoy using those same guiding skills to support families through the home buying and selling process.
Is there anything else you'd like to share?
I thrive on meeting new people, learning new things, and connecting with others through teaching and leadership.
